Saccharine Chords

November 8th, 2006

alas, fair life, thou'st be overly bold.
to sing thine songs o'er purest melodies.
thou flitted south; beckon thy fervent cold,
perchance thou hadst drowned thy injuries in the sea
eyes spew spites, wilful with grace,
but thine lips, soft; sour they taste.
shall i lend thee mine; swift and cordial.
the bitter drink thou doth pour around,
which warms thyself in happiness, informal,
thou sought mine end, collapsing down.

thou doth contain purest of attributes
resembling sweet unused beauty in thyself, ungiven.
thou'st sent and spent my solitude,
thyself restlessly crossed, lost between thine own forgiven's.
contradict me thy fellow heart, to hunt the heart thou choose'st
thou muddled sympathetically through unabated love, a fool's diminish.
to cautiously approach my wholehearted woe,
lips devoid of unfeigned prestige against another's foe.

thine eyes trace, requesting my company,
sweet unlawful; wilful in doubting thine leave.
by patience, I merely exceed thyself's drawn hostility,
by chance, the Heavens offered to alteration forbiddenly.

and thou'st did valiently capture,
O how hath thee be condemned by rapture.
way of flits and schemes, dear manakins whisper,
doth thou frown at grief yet smile in haste?

pangs of fortune, longing like lost,
i think it well to appease thy cost;
mark it inconstant as leaves bitten by frost,
or marks hidd'n in snowy lace.

be still, oh love, thine ventricles fracture and split,
and thou hid'st within truth's courageous admit.

And as the moon doth lay idle in the mid'night air,
thine lips embrace mine, blossoming a mellifluous love affair.
o bravely, intending to release my love o'er a summer's breeze,
doth this withering winter exchang'd thy freeze,
for autumn breaths imprison my owed letters,
and spring's rebirth embodies speech better.
long gone, must i say, be thine drafts of change,
and thou doth pull'd on my heart, so frayed.
yet thyself hath replac'd my pain and scorn,
thou'st beckoned true love reborn.

be still, oh Love, thy ventricles now repaired,
by saccharine chords dancing in moon-lit air.
